Crosshair VI Hero Fan Control Issue with BIOS 6004

Hi,

Today I tried the new BIOS 6004 on my Crosshair VI Hero but soon went back to BIOS 9920 because of the following issue:

It seems that the QFan Calibration Feature (the thing which tests your fans for minimum and maximum RPM) is broken.
Starting the tool leads to all my fans turning off and the measurement does start, jumps to 90% completion and then suddenly is complete but doing nothing at all. In BIOS 9920 it works fine, the fans are turned slower and slower until the minimum RPM is reached and then continues with the next fan.

This behavior finally sets the minimum RPM duty cycle for all DC Controlled Fans to 60% which leads to a hurricane in my case.
I cant manually override it to something less like 20%

Therefore I am still stuck on BIOS 9920

Does someone else have this issue?

Regards

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

Could you provide me a Link where to download this version?

Unverified change log:

- DOCP Profile 1-5 removed (also in 6004)
- BCLK Divider is back (also in 6004)
- S3 resume stuck at E3 when overclocking fixed
- Q-Fan Tuning fix for DC mode

Why were DOCP Profiles 1-5 removed?

Because they were not needed?

Hi all,

I can confirm that the fan issue is fixed in 6101.
Fan calibration is working normal again for DC fans.

Today I've flashed my C6H with official 6101 BIOS, and my problem wasn't fixed!

Can anyone please confirm?!

Thank you.

I have the latest bios and still have fan issues as well. Just a particular fan that's plugged into my water pump, despite being set to PWM settings and set to max speed of 30% of 2300rpm (700 rpm), still ramps up to 100% randomly and just stays there after a few hours of casual load (no gaming/rendering/heavy loads, just web browsing). a simple reboot fixes this always, with the issue reappearing again seemingly after 4-8 hours.
