I thought Asus released an update for Amroury Crate that fixes the ARGB header problem caused by Bios 4004. I am running 4004 on my Dark Hero but I have not checked to see if the ARGB headers work. I don't use them, or Aura or Armoury Crate, and am not willing to install either of these programs to test the ARGB ports. Armoury Crate is buggy, and a borderline virus and Aura has just sucked for years. I control my mobo and RAM LEDs with OpenRGB and use Aquasuite for everything else. I would be fine if Asus removed all of their LED headers (and fan headers) and lowered the price of the boards. I have not used the Bios for fan or RGB control for years.

i'm on latest version of armoury crate: 5.0.11.0 and i've manually checked all of the update listed on the app. Line 1 of the ARGB still not working.

Safedisk released beta bios 4005 on overclock.net. This beta bios is supposed to fix the RGB header issue that bios 4004 caused. I have not personally tested this but others have and reported that it does fix the issue. I am not sure if you also have to update Armoury Crate.

Safedisk is an Asus employee that has been releaseing beta bios's on overclock.net for a long time. You can try this beta bios 4005 or wait until Asus releases it officially. This usually happens a week or 2 after Safedisk releases a beta bios.

4005 beta quickly became 4006
Looks like 4004 has been removed and replaced with BIOS version 4006. AGESA remains the same version.
From the few comments I've seen, it fixes the issue that 4004 had.

I can confirm that on my system after flashing the 4006 bios that the ARGB headers are now fully functional again.

Well, I think I spoke too soon. RGB elements are being corrupted shortly after setting them. I'm just using the argb headers on the motherboard and Lian Li AL120 fans and after a reset the ability to control the RGB on the fans completely stops working when Armoury Crate is installed. I don't have the mobo sync turned on in L-Connect 2. While I can fix the problem temporarily by removing both software and essentially hacking out anything AURA/Armoury from the registry and then re-install both L-Connect 2 and Armoury Crate it eventually happens again.

I'm now going back to 3904 to see if this issue stops. If it does then the ARGB functionality is still broken in the 4000+ bios versions in my mind.

Update: After going back to 3904 the issue continued. After going over everything I figured out I have a bad power/argb cable connecting to the fans so I'm back to the 4006 bios and its working as expected.
