Thank you for your suggestions. The mobo originally came with 1 heat sink that was on the top slot. I took this off and put it on the second slot when I got my first M2 drive, So I think the original heatsink fits either.
I saw the aftermarket ones but wasn't sure if they would fit on the top slot with the GPU being so close (I have a 1080ti).
After getting impatient I moved the screw from the bottom slot to plug in my new m2 drive on the top slot, not a perfect tight fit but it was holding it in its socket.
The second slot (bottom) I used some gorilla tape to keep one side of the heatsink connected to the lower pcie clips.. not a great idea but it seems to have worked for now lol. My temps on the SSD also seem to be in the acceptable cool range according to Samsung magician.
Last night I ordered a set of M2 risers and screws which I am hoping will fit so that I can remove the tape and screw both my drives in securely. For the time being I will keep an eye on the temps under heavy loads and see if they get into the red before I consider a new heatsink.
