i have a crosshair vi hero with a 3700x, am i losing any of the cpus capacity or function by staying on x370?
i came across a couple articles from amd and they mentioned x470 and x570 will be compatible and x370 will get beta bioses,
which sounds to me like the x570 might be needed, thanks

From what we know, the answer is no. If anything, you might be slightly losing on RAM capabilities. And as long as they don't abandon support for C6H, that will improve with time.

Slickwicked, from what I can tell you won't be losing out on CPU performance by using 3700X on Crosshair VI Hero.

There are "Offical" BIOS for Crosshair VI Hero with 3000 series CPU support. UEFI 7306 is on official product support page...

Version 7306 2019/08/15

yeah im more concerned about x370 being compatible not being verified by amd, the 3700x ran ok on my c6h, i just bought a x570 board and its night and day,
cpu volts down to .68v during idle,

like i was saying i could find nothing from amd saying x370 was compatible only that itll be beta, and they only list oficially that x470 and x570 are compatible, it seems asus and others are fudging it to make it work ok

doesnt matter much to me anymore since i am very very happy with my x570

I'm running a 3900X on a C6H, without issues, currently on 7403.
