Anyone know if this latest BIOS Asus posted at:

https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards...helpdesk_bios/

Is Beta or Final (I've been bitten by un-labeled Beta BIOSes before)? Any experiences with it?

This is the worst bios so far, after couple of days without any issues I now get daily or even multiple times that my PC goes to blackscreen without rebooting. I need to remove power in order to reboot. On my Dark hero 5950x

Yes, I had to revert to 3201 as it seems to be the best for me with a little extra juice for the SOC as I have 64GB at 4000mhz.

Even then I too have to remove the power now and again as the RAM training seems to have issues now and again. Must just be on the edge of stability.

Once it is up and running though it is great. Shame about these niggles.

I've been working on my overclock most of the day and think at this point I can confirm loss of single core boost with bios 3204. My multi-core overclock actually improved with 3204 as I was able to lower core voltage and am able to hit 4.7Ghz all core, however single core boost has fallen. I use to get ~640pts in Cinebench R20 and am now ~636pts. Boost frequency was above 5Ghz and in Cinebench R20 is now topping at 4924Mhz. I have tweaked everything I can think of and the only difference was updating the bios. In my case I really didn't have much of a choice as my old bios (version 2601) was having ram issues in gaming loads. Tried to find bios 3202 to see if it would fix the loss of single core boost but the only bios versions I could find on Asus website were 2601, 3003, and 3204. Hopefully the next bios release will correct the single core boosting.

Happy to send you 3202 if you like via dropbox. Let me know.

I'm also interested in the 3202, My computer crashed with the latest bios so I needed to reinstall windows and lost my downloadfolder with the beta version. It was the only one that has been stable for me.

with latest the VGA lamp is always on, 3202 did not have this issue.
Photoshop crash when open RAW files (when set mem to Auto and not the 3600 profile Photoshop works.) Would love to see if it was just the latest bios that did this.
Don't remember I had this issue in older versions of the bios

It's easy to get earlier version of the bios directly from official site. Here's the trick, right click and copy the link address of the current bios from the support site. Now paste it in the address bar, and just change the ending number to the bios you wish to download. Profit.

After upgrad my ASUS 1080 STRIX went mad and went like 100% GPU usage and smelled burnt..
So now i had to lower all my GPU settings to like lowest.. feels kinda ****ty IMO. Windows 10 20H2 was installed in the same way.
And i cannot downgrade the bios since an error message, used same stick when i upgraded and have redownloaded the data twice and renamed file.
The 1080 have never gone warm before and have been working great, now It's 100% GPU in the menu of PUBG..

I read only critics about this release... I must say that IMHO is one of the best I've tried.
I swapped RAM kit (both Corsair B-Die) along with installing the new BIOS and I can set them stable @3800MHz CAS 16 with a very lower voltage (1.35 vs. 1.48) and all MC voltages in Auto. I'm still testing but at the moment for me is a joy... if everything it's ok, I'm gonna try CAS 15 or 14.

I have to agree. I originally started with 3003 shipping BIOS. Worked pretty well but had a spontaneous reboot or 2. 3204 has been trouble free the last 5 days. I did lose a little off my singel core boost and top out at 4925mhz now. All core doing fine at 4600mhz with RAM at 3600 CAS 14 1T with SOC at 1.125v. not a hiccup thus far. Aside from hoping to get my single core back to 5ghz, this bios works for me. I hope it holds.

I'm now back to 3202 which lasted the whole night that wasn't the case with 3204.

So far been as stable as 2206 for me, lost a little multicore perf & gained a little single core, couple % either way is not noticeable in practice. Haven't learned the new bios options yet so I don't know how it'd be if I started pushing, but I'm GPU bound anyway so not generally going to do anything for me. This is with 4x 16GB unapproved sticks tool.
