I misread... 4402 is latest and can be flashed over your current bios

On the website https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/ro ...helpdesk_bios/ for my ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero in the BIOS firmware section there are BIOS versions 4006, BIOS 4402 here is 4304, which is described in post No. 5 is not in the list at all. How to explain it?

I noticed I was 2 versions behind updated to 4408 1st ran fah for a few days then installed the 4601 beta no issues with my ROG-STRIX-X570-E-GAMING-WIFI-II.

I have the same problem with my Crosshair VIII Dark Hero and Bios 4402. I can not boot into the BIOS by hitting DEL or F2. I ended up booting into Windows Recovery mode and entering the BIOS from there. I disabled Fast Boot but it did not make any difference. I have not seen many other reports of this problem. I asked on Overclock.net and everyone who responded said they were not having this problem.

I suppose you are using USB keyboard and mouse... if so, try to change the USB ports they're connected to.
What I discovered switching from a from a Formula to an Extreme motherboard (both X570) is that the back USB ports are not initialized at the same time.
