Just updated my ROG Crosshair VIII Hero to the latest BIOS 4805 (posted today) and now my AURA LED on the motherboard won't completely turn off. Even if I have them set to completely off in the BIOS there's still a green glow to the "HERO" lettering. This was working fine before the BIOS update, I even tried reflashing the BIOS but the issue persists.

Hello,
Could someone from ASUS please address the recent queries raised in this thread or provide an update?
Approximately two years ago, there was an issue with RGB functionality in the version 4004 Crosshair VIII Dark Hero BIOS, which was swiftly resolved with the release of version 4006 -- and version 4004 was subsequently withdrawn. Why is the process for resolving the RGB issue introduced in the 4805 BIOS update different, in terms of duration, on this occasion?
Additionally -- repeating this question once more -- is this issue confined to the Crosshair VIII Hero/Dark Hero models, or does it impact other ASUS motherboards in the X570/B550 series as well? -- Specifically, I own both Prime X570-P and TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS WiFi II motherboards and am interested in knowing whether it is safe to install the 5013 and 3607 BIOS updates on them respectively, released alongside version 4805 for the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, with respect to said RGB issue.
Thanks in advance.

Probably because it's a fairly abstract question regarding if something is"safe". Prime boards are not an ROG product line, you can ask over on ZenTalk for non-ROG products 👍.
I've requested an update on the pending fix for the RGB issue.
