Hi everyone, I recently switched from having 2x8s at 3200mhz from Crucial to 2x16 at 3600mhz from G.Skill. I checked and the model is qvl but the PC when using them at 3600 often crashes and with the RAM diagnostics it gives me hardware errors. However, using it in 3200 doesn't give me any crashes or hardware errors. I'm using the latest bios version, can anyone tell me what the problem could be?

Are you using the latest BIOS update? Because there are RAM and other issues with basically all B550 and X570 boards after the most recent bios updates, if you look at the RAM timings are there perhaps some weird subtimings like Ch A and Ch B having different values for tWRRD or other values. I would suggest using the second newest BIOS version or the one before that.

Yes, I'm using a recent version of the bios, now I don't know if it's the most recent, I updated it a few months ago. The docp reads 3600 while the frequency remains at 3200 as set previously. When I switch the frequency to 3600 the PC starts crashing giving me this error 0xc000009a, so I check if there is an even more recent version or if so do I go back to the previous one?

a few months ago then it's almost certainly not the latest... i think these came a little bit over a month ago now, maybe a month and a half... it's probably some different issue, but still you could always try an older bios version anyway, since it's so easy to flash bioses these days on such boards why not try it, but i don't think that's the problem if it's several months old
