Asus Strix X470-F Gaming owners thread

Hello guys, I am starting this thread for all Stix X470-F owners to discuss their overclock settings, issues etc. So that everyone get help quickly in a organised way. Installed my old 1600x in this mobo with 4011 bios and flareX 3200 with default docp and it works just fine without any issues so far. One thing to mention The board pushes 1.15v soc default docp profile. Is it normal seems a bit high for me as I have upgraded from B350-F gaming.
However a small issue I believe, the asus lighting control is not behaving normal. I mean just after login to windows it is taking a bit time to start (5min) before that if I try to on Lighting Control by clicking it, program crash window appears after few seconds. But when it starts on it's own then I can open asus lighting control. Anyone experiencing similar issue???
Also tried to use older version.

The last 2 bioses keep giving me the same issue, I will clear cmos, setup my bios profile and fan profile, and everything is fine for a while, then randomly, 1 of the chassis fans will start spinning at maximum, the other fan will spin at half the speed. Nothing will change it, going back into bios and resetting fan profiles etc, nothing it will just keep spinning at maximum. Only thing that works is clear cmos, then all is fine for a while, then it happens again.
I've been a pc gamer since the 90s, so im not new to troubleshooting and problems, however when a game freezes or crashes for example, you kinda know where to start looking, gpu overclock, gpu drivers etc you know what I mean. The most annoying thing about this problem is I have no idea where to look, the only thing I have found that may be slightly related to it is the chipset and tsensor1 temps show as 0, and on the previous bios to this new one, the same 2 temps are in the millions, I have never noticed this before previous to these 2 bioses.

Hi Guys,
I am on 2700x and I upgraded to BIOS 5220. Noticed the extremely high CPU voltage (1.4x at times even with -0.1 offset).

I plan to rollback to BIOS 4602.

Has anyone tried the rollback? If yes, is it as simple as putting 4602 into a USB drive and install from there?

Thanks!

I tried to rollback from 5220 to 4602 because my memory become unstable with recent bios but the MB EZ flash software could not perform the task. I think the problem is asus adopting new bios format, changing from 16 MB rom to 32 MB.

Yeah, I have the same problem too. EZ Flash says it's not a valid BIOS file!!! I am stuck with 5220 which I do not like 😞

Just to update a bit on my situation. My Crucial/Ballistix RAM were faulty. I thought it was the board, at first, cuz I was getting more errors from my memory after updating BIOS to 5216. But sent the RAM to RMA, received new ones and voila! I can use the XMP profile with no issues. 32GB (2x16) at 3200mhz 16-18-18-38-73 - working flawlessly.

yep you cant go beck all in 1 time cause of the different bios, so you need to move beck first 5204 bios ( first 1003 bios ) then 5204 and so on i was able to rollbeck all the way to 5007 on this system doing this

Does anyone have an answer to why the EDC only goes to 145A but PPT and TDC can be set higher in Ryzen Master?? Its been proven that the board can handle more from reviews and Buildzoids vids. Its limiting my OCs. As soon as I hit the 145 limit it throttles CPU and closes program...
