Asus Strix X470-F Gaming owners thread

Hello guys, I am starting this thread for all Stix X470-F owners to discuss their overclock settings, issues etc. So that everyone get help quickly in a organised way. Installed my old 1600x in this mobo with 4011 bios and flareX 3200 with default docp and it works just fine without any issues so far. One thing to mention The board pushes 1.15v soc default docp profile. Is it normal seems a bit high for me as I have upgraded from B350-F gaming.
However a small issue I believe, the asus lighting control is not behaving normal. I mean just after login to windows it is taking a bit time to start (5min) before that if I try to on Lighting Control by clicking it, program crash window appears after few seconds. But when it starts on it's own then I can open asus lighting control. Anyone experiencing similar issue???
Also tried to use older version.

Do a windows clean install and run sfc.
It will always find errors on the first run.

PLEASE HELP, PLEASE HELP. Bought a ROG STRIX 6800XT then a 5800x 2 weeks later. Worked great but after 2 days I was sitting in BIOS when my monitor turned off. Tried everything but and found out card only work in 2nd PCIE x16 slot. (Reseating card, went from 750w to 1000w powersupply, latest BIOS then bought new ROG STRIX CROSSHAIR VIII FORMULA(from ROG B450F) with latest bios again.) SAME PROBLEM, card will only work in 2nd PCIE slot. I'm think either(from most likley ) 1. 5800x is bad or part blown, 2. MB needs better BIOS or special settings. 3. Card is part broken(though brand new). 4 MB top slot broken(though its brand new). At wits end, Also tried taking everything out and starting from basic video card only also resetting CMOS. Spent almost £2000 trying to fix this(PS, CARD and MB). Thanks! Ended today with my PIMAX 5k breaking(though unrelated). On the plus side it does work in PCIE 4.0 in 2nd slot. Can anybody please help. (sobbing noise and whimpers) BTW how does a new ROGGER post NEW POSTS on these forums.

I am still running the very old version 4602.
I am watching and waiting for 5800x to drop a bit, but would like to be ready to drop it in when I finally buy it.
I have my machine running just great but wondering what version I can safely move to and not introduce bugs or lesser performance for the old CPU I have running.(maybe even seeing better performance would be a bonus)

Looking for suggestions.

Thank you,
Mike

OK so I didn't have to wait. Wife bought me one for my BD beginning of Oct. Now I upgraded the bios to 5809 using my 2700X and then dropped in the 5800X.
I am now trying to find the best OC setting for the new CPU...I have tried just using PBO...but the Voltage seems high 1.43 - 1.54 and not really seeing more than about 4300Mhz and she is basically way to hot jumps into mid to high 80s within the short CB15 run. I have OC'd to 4600 and it runs cool with max 1.3V ( no load average about 36C...CB15 hits 68C) Room abient at about 22C.
I would like to leave it on PBO but don't see a benefit when it runs so hot.
So looking for advice on which BIOS I should go to and any tips on OC using PBO rather than the manual OC.
Thank you,
Mike

5 gen of Ryzen is the last gen for x470 motherboards? Will there be any CPU refresh soon?

Currently on R5 1600 - BIOS 4207. I will buy 5600x. Which is the most stable and best BIOS for 5600x? Is there any bridge BIOS or do I need just to update to the latest with R1600 and then put 5600x in my PC. I hope there is no problems like it was with R5 1600 BIOS-es...

Also does Ryzen 5000 series have this problem:

couple of users reported same problem.
