Asus Strix X470-F Gaming owners thread

Hello guys, I am starting this thread for all Stix X470-F owners to discuss their overclock settings, issues etc. So that everyone get help quickly in a organised way. Installed my old 1600x in this mobo with 4011 bios and flareX 3200 with default docp and it works just fine without any issues so far. One thing to mention The board pushes 1.15v soc default docp profile. Is it normal seems a bit high for me as I have upgraded from B350-F gaming.
However a small issue I believe, the asus lighting control is not behaving normal. I mean just after login to windows it is taking a bit time to start (5min) before that if I try to on Lighting Control by clicking it, program crash window appears after few seconds. But when it starts on it's own then I can open asus lighting control. Anyone experiencing similar issue???
Also tried to use older version.

Your specs?
Take the battery out and do a CMOS reset.
Did you change anything inside the BIOS? Did you try to load an older BIOS profile?

As a matter of fact, I think I tried to load the profile from the previous bios, I then preformed a CMOS reset and apply my settings.

My specs:
3700x
2x8Gb Trident Z 3200
GTX 1070

please never load settings from previous BIOS versions
it's better to screenshot your old settings (to USB stick, smartphone or tablet) and re-enter those values manually.

Yes it was a mistake, so is my problem related with that? What should i do? Wouldn't the CMOS reset solve that?

thats why I hate loading new bios settings and taking 2 hours to manually re-enter my own settings. why dont they find a safe way to store old settings and reload them? this has been a problem for years.

I guess it's because they're stupid.
I mean, why the hell to backup ALL settings into a .CMO file instead of backing up only those which are visible to a user and has been really changed comparing to their defaults?
But hell to the no, they backup ALL settings, including invisible ones and which haven't been changed, so those redundant values get "restored" too.

Who can tell - just WHY? Is it that hard to implement? Not at all.
And if some settings become invisible in the updated BIOS version - just do not "restore" them from the previous backup. That is IT, and no complications. But manufacturers seem to add complications on purpose, the more of them there are - the more chances there are to break it so that a consumer will go buy a new one.

so im trying to flash my bios with my numbers ive gotten from fd44.
converted from .cap to .rom using uefi tool
opened using fd44editor
I added in the numbers using fd44 and saved it, I get a .bin file.
in the .bin files it has my numbers in it how do i flash the .bin file/ what do i do next cause im abit stuck.

thanks was looking for a flashrom guide with working download link for a while, worked like a charm. I was using this method if your were wondering which was good for only converting from .cap to .rom and flashing directly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwJS8-GTgRU
