Hi,

Does anybody knows when there will be a new bios for this motherboard Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming.
The latest one is dated 2019-07-05, an there is nothing about which AGESA its using.

Odd one though, why doing it on the last 3 bios versions only? Flashing previous versions works fine?

All was removed, all that was left was ram, gpu and cpu, and front panel connectors(power, restart etc). I doubt they can cause a problem. And why the issues with the last 3 versions of the bios? Previous ones I can flash with no problem. You have no idea how many times I've disassembled this pc, tried different parts. 3 ryzen builds, msi and gigabyte boards are absolutely fine... I don't think we have good support in East Europe for Asus and I don't have the receipt for it. It's out of warranty I presume as well... So I will have to accept the fact that I cannot update it.

New bios is out !!!!

ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING BIOS 5003

https://www.asus.com/au/supportonly/rog%20strix%20x570-e%20gaming/helpdesk_bios/

its out for a while now - released on 2023/10/31 ....

Nobody has mentioned the newest bios  it this thread waht i can see.

And after the bios update. It did trigger a hardware change for windows licence= it became invalid for 2 days, but then it was alright. But so people know this bios can trigger a false hardware change for the windows license.

it does that with all last bios versions - Update AMD 5000/3000 Series CPU fTPM version - change pin or login credentials verification and web sync for windows will sort it out.

I think it is because of the "Update AMD 5000/3000 Series CPU fTPM version" in the release notes. In my case it wanted me just to change my pin code for login to Windows, no license issues, so it could be different for everybody.

I lost my oem windows 11 license upgraded from a windows 10 version after updating to this last bios version. I didn't have any problem before when updating from bios 3.something to 4.something. So if you use a oem version of windows, be carefull.
About the bios, after update, windows is very stable, just like before. After some tests with CPU/DRAM temperatures, the overal power usage and temperature in the system is a little lower than before with the same performance.
With Ryzen 3700x, 32GB, RTX3060ti, in idle system is consuming 19.5W checking with AIDA64, with the older 4.802 bios I coundn't go lower than 21W stable in a clean install.
