Just installed 4204 after the version became official today.
This is the second time that a new AGESA version for this board prevents posting with XMP DDR 3600 MHz.
This time I had to raise VDDG IOD Voltage by another 0.005 V. I need the following settings to run my RAM with the XMP profile, now.
VDDCR SOC Voltage [Manual]
VDDCR SOC Voltage Override [1.10000]
VDDG CCD Voltage Control [1.050]
VDDG IOD Voltage Control [1.055]
CLDO VDDP Voltage [1.050]
What are those AGESA guys doing?
Does anyone have similar experiences?

I flashed with the new BIOS an hour ago and I am not very impressed. My results in Cinebench dropped a little bit but not by much (I ran CR20 and CR23 just before flashing for comparison). My scores in 3D Mark remains virtually unchanged so no regression on this side, but no performance gains either.
However, what frustrated me most was the changed settings in PBO menus, specifically those related to Curve Optimizer (CO). Previously, those settings were buried in Advanced/AMD Overclocking/PBO menu (I am quoting the menu titles by memory so they may not be very precise). Now you can find the same settings in AI Tweaker/PBO menu too and this duplication is very puzzling to me.
What if I enable the CO only on one place? In the past I had noticed that enabling PBO only in the AMD Overclocking menu had no effect until I did the same in AI Tweaker too. What if I make a typo and put one value for CO in one place and another value in the second place? Even more interesting, what if I enable Negative values on one place and Positive values on the other one? Which settings will take priority? Overall, it looks like a bad design to me.
Also, previously the PBO frequency boost value could be selected by a dropdown menu, capped at +200 MHz. Now you can select positive or negative (who would need to downclock the CPU dynamically via PBO?!) sign for the boost override and the value itself is entered manually. Personally, I didn't dare to put anything above +200 MHz there. I am curious if I can put +1000 MHz but wouldn't want to try it personally.
The new re-organization of menus (yes, it's true that only few of them are affected as far as I could see) seems more complicated than before and I am not even sure whether I have entered my previous settings properly.
I would be curious to hear the impressions of others in this forum and whether someone has tried to do any experiments with CO.

What you wrote made me curious. I always thought that you should not mix settings in the ASUS PBO menu and Settings in the AMD PBO menu and I still believe that. I tried the following:
1. PBO settings and curve only in ASUS menu
- Ryzen master is showing PBO enabled and the correct values.
- Temperatures and the CB23 scores are only a bit higher than without PBO.
- I tried this FMAX enabled and disabled and it did not make a difference for multicore.
2. PBO settings and curve only in AMD menu
- Ryzen master is showing PBO enabled and the correct values.
- Temperatures are about 10 C higher than with the ASUS settings. The CB23 scores are about 10% higher than with the ASUS settings.
ASUS BIOS is a mess. The longer I use this board the more I regret it.

I only ever use the AMD menu for UV/PBO, it has and still is working perfectly fine.
What I really hate about the new BIOS versions is
#1 They change the menu items and loading profiles after the update only loads a part of the settings. This time I had to re-enter my memory timings and the curve optimizer.
#2 AGESA messes with the memory controller. For the first year I had this board, I just ran my RAM at 3600 MHz XMP settings with everything else on Auto. Now, I have to tweak all of those memory controller voltages to just get my PC booting.
