Hi i have had 2 m.2 drives now that suddenly dissapered in bios and i don’t know how to fix it i have tried to unplug and plug it back in and it still doesn’t work.
i have searched and searched and can’t find an answer. Could it be a faulty motherboard or what could it be?

What ssd's are you using?
You can open Command Prompt and run chkdsk on your ssd to see if there are any errors or bad sectors.
1) Insert your Windows installation usb flash drive into a pc usb port.
2) Enter the bios and set it as Boot Priority 1, hit F10 and Enter.
3) When the windows setup screen appears, press Shift + F10.
4) When the Command Prompt window appears, type in chkdsk C: /f and hit Enter. It may want to schedule a check disk on a restart, press Y for yes.
Does it see your ssd and detect any errors?

Hello Eriico
Have you tried updating to the latest bios?
There were some bios releases that improve PCIE 4.0 M.2 SSD compatibility.

Can’t even load Windows install if the drive is in the motherboard
