just updated to that bios so far so good all RGB works great I'll let you know if anything goes wrong but so fare all good

I couldn't update my BIOS. After download it has the exactly same size as the 4805. Weird.

I tried with the USB stick and holding the bios button for 3 secs. It blinks 3 times and the led goes on forever. More than an hour and nothing. I've updated my MOBO this way 3 or 4 times before.
With EZ Flash it says the file is not a valid BIOS. I added the file (renamed or not) to my USB stick and several storage devices (HDDs and SSDs with or without the system boot).

Any ideas please?

did you download it from the link above.. Working fine.. 

its for the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (wifi) there is a norther motherboard with the same name but without the wifi.. maybe u have that 1 and that why it not compatible.. (only guessing)..

within bios use EZ flash.. you don't need to alter the file name (just download, unzip and put onto usb without changing the file name). should work...

ROG CROSSHAIR VIII FORMULA - Upgraded from 4805 to 4902.

Motherboard electronics all seem to be working except for the ARGB, it is DEAD.

Doesn't respond to ARMOURY CRATE and I have the lastest edition install with all the updates.

try reinstalling BIOS again... Use EZ flash within bios to update. Be careful look at your screen when it restarts that it is updating the LED firmware. don't turn off the pc, wait a while to make sure it has update properly...

It has been a while but all is still working great all have a good holidays that are coming up and on january 3rd I turn 65
