1004B-bios for Crosshair 7 Hero???

Over at overclock.net, a user posted a reply from an Asus-official today. The message was that there is no ETA for a new bios for C7H:

"Thank you for contacting Asus support. My name is Arsen.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no release date announced. We do not have an ETA for this currently."

My low end Gigabyte B450 has already had THREE iterations of 1004B-bios, the latest one correcting the reported PCIE-issues from all vendors.

Would be real nice if someone from Asus clarified what's going on?

I think they are on holidays, drinking pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.

This is what they answered when the Germans asked:

I wrote to ASUS about 1004b

Answer is the following:

We thank you in advance for your inquiry.

After the updates rolled out for many of our boards, we've been told of several issues with this update. Therefore, we decided to withhold the update for our premium boards until we can offer a stable BIOS version. We ask for her presence.

greetings

Complete bull****. WHOLE x570 lineup has 1.0.0.4b. They should've waited on x570 too if this was correct 🙂

I have to say I rather have a stable bios release than a fast one.
The only thing that I am not happy about is the lack of communication.

The Beta works well overall, impressive multicore performance, but single core boost is very weak. That's probably why it isn't released yet. Needs to be fixed!

Biggest improvement is telemetry of CPU parameters now works flawless, it has been frozen for Zen 2 for several bios versions. One great thing!

Biggest known bug is sleep don't work well, it resets memory OC, one has to use normal shutdown.

How do we know where it's from? There just seems to be a random hwinfo link?

It is voluntary to test, if you feel it's fishy don't. There are no guarantees whatsoever, for all I know it could eat your cat 😉
