Ryujin III 360 - LCD Screen

I have a simple question; I've never used a PC as I've only used laptops, so far.

I've now commissioned and received my first custom PC from a company known as CSL, in Germany, for 7.600 €.

The question that I have is: Can the Ryujin III 360 be used without the LCD screen cover attached to it?

I'm asking because I don't need the screen and wanted to know if the cooling power of the Ryujin III 360 will improve, if I remove it.

This is my setup, as you can see; I can not view the inside of the case as the glass cover is pointing towards the wall... which is the reason as to why I don't need the screen.

Hi @PaulKrawitz ,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your question about removing the LCD screen, we would like to advise you:

The ROG Ryujin III series liquid cooler is an all-in-one design where the LCD screen is integrated with the pump and fan assembly, forming a complete cooling system.

Removing the LCD screen individually may result in the following issues:

  • Impact on cooling performance: The fan vents around the LCD screen are crucial for cooling. Removing it may lead to decreased cooling performance.
  • Damage to components: Unauthorized disassembly may cause damage to components, affecting the overall performance of the product.
  • Voiding warranty: Non-official disassembly may void the warranty.

To ensure optimal performance of your system, we recommend that you follow the product manual and install all components completely.

The cooling performance doesn't get any better because there is a small fan under the display for the VRMs that are around the CPU.
I wouldn't remove the display. I don't know if the AiO would still work then.
If you didn't want a display like that, you should have chosen a different AiO.

Intel Core i7 13700K / AiO Fractal Design Lumen S36 v2 RGB / Asus Rog Strix Z790-F Gaming WIFI / Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5-5600 64GB (4x 16GB) / Asus TUF RTX 4070 ti OC / 4x Samsung 980 pro 1TB / Seasonic Prime GX 850 W Gold / Fractal Design Meshify 2 Lite RGB Black TG Light Tint / Monitor AOC Q27G2S/EU (WQHD)

Probably... but this specific AIO was the best that they had available... so I took it.

The screen doesn't really bother me, I was just curious if removing it would improve anything.
