ROG Ryuo IV LCD stuck on boot logo – not detected by Windows
Hi everyone,
My ROG Ryuo IV LCD suddenly got stuck on the “For Those Who Dare” boot logo and is not being detected by Windows anymore.
Important notes:
- The cooler itself is working perfectly (pump + fans + normal CPU temps).
- The LCD is stuck even inside BIOS, not just Windows.
- It used to work before, and this actually happened once in the past but somehow fixed itself.
- I did NOT update InfoHub recently and no firmware updates were installed before this happened.
Things I already tried:
- Full shutdown + PSU off + power drain
- Disconnected and reconnected the internal USB header
- Tried different USB headers on the motherboard
- Reinstalled ASUS InfoHub
- Checked Device Manager (it briefly showed as ADB Interface once, then disappeared completely)
- Enabled “Show hidden devices” — nothing.
- No yellow warning icons.
- BIOS reset / reboot did nothing.
At this point it looks like the LCD controller is not initializing at all.
Has anyone experienced this exact issue with the Ryuo IV?
Is this likely an LCD hardware failure, or is there any firmware recovery method I'm missing?
Trying to confirm before I go through RMA.
