ROG fan controller maxing speed

Two case fans going into the ROG controller hub on a z790 hero suddenly maxed to 100% and nothing about reboots or restarting software, shutting down, deleting armoury crate profiles, helps. 

 

We already know Asus hasn't lifted a finger to allow fan speed to be read or set via the microusb connection (while argb works).

 

So what's going on with this hub and Asus?

 

Also how can i force the fans on the hub to cease and 'reset'. Unplugging them turned them off, but replugging them, went to 100%.

Seems to have helped somewhat generally. I still have this fan AIO controller inaccessible/blacked out on Ryujin 2:

Also would like/need to see as suggestions

  • the default rog polymo effect for the heroz790 lcd to be separated from the light drizzle/rain effects, or be able to be turned off. This is because it interferes with the look too much and is annoying to interrupt the hero effect (particularly light drizzle and rain)
  • The polymo light drizzle and rain effects should be a either a template in the aura creator or be able to set a custom one with 2-3 adjustable colors like in the basic effects (but keep the present special effects as the are too, don't delete one for the abllity to customise an extra template of each, have both).
  • button to temporarily stop a fan to see which one it is (would turn off on a 5-7 second timer max but be able to be turned back on immediately), then label it with an alias
  • for ryujin 2 Custom Banner, allow a blank background option

Thank you for the suggestions.
Additionally, based on your previous description, you didn't mention whether you'd connected the 9-pin USB 2.0 cable, which is related to the control of the LCD, pump, and fan speeds.
Could you please confirm if the 9-pin USB 2.0 cable is correctly connected, apart from the microUSB?

Also, please refer to the user manual to double-check the wiring connections.
After ensuring the correct connections, please restart and verify once again if the display and settings in Armoury Crate are correct.
