After wiping the dust inside the case, I noticed that the bezel and fan vents on the CPU block are quite warm compared to other components.
At first, I thought the sun coming to my room must have heated the aluminum. Yet, when I turned the PC off from the power supply itself, the CPU block cooled down, proving my theory wrong.
If you remember, since around mid-May there was a bug that prevented the small LCD screen from turning off after shutdown. One month ago, the problem was "solved" with an update in Armory Crate, after which the LCD would turn off.
Now, the fact that the CPU block is warm despite the PC being off leads me to believe that there is still quite a bit of electricity running through.
I am aware that there is always power in a turned off PC unless you make changes in the BIOS or manually turn the power supply switch. However, is there REALLY so much electricity that it heats up an otherwise inactive CPU block on the AIO?
Either way, something fishy is going on. I'm speculating here, but is there a chance the recent update merely turns off the screen while the internal hardware is running the display software regardless? I mean, it would definitely explain why an inactive component gets hot.
