I have uploaded the project to my AsusWebStorage.
In a nutshell, I wanted to have a cable cover with some kind of unique design. Since our boards all have RGB effects to them... I figured it would be cool if there was a shroud that encouraged the RGB effects.
I haven't produced this yet but I did order it already so results are pending.
I basically engraved the ROG logo and hollowed out the inside (24mm x 35mm).
I then added two identical pieces (24mm x 35mm x 1mm).
One to be the base of the emblem (of your color choice but I'd recommend white or a frost colored transparent) and the other would be for the cover.
Inside, you can place an led and run the wires out of the carved slot(s) that I had designed into it.
Then you just attached the cover (the other 24mm x 35mm x 1mm piece) and secure it. (Personally, I'd probably just tape it.)

Now I'm VERY new at this! Literally less than 24 hours of experience. So I'm expecting there to be errors and I'm counting on some experienced members to identify and assist me in correcting them.
Also, I'm hoping that someone might be able to assist me in finding a way to fit an RGB (plus white) led inside that will be bright enough to shine through the white piece of plastic on top nearest to the emblem.
I found this site Wayjun Technology and it looks pretty promising.

I did need to use THREE standoff screws to make the damned thing for due to the LED header and the optional USB C (I think that's what it is) connector. They got in the way of the "stands" so by using three stand offs I was able to work around the issue. For the LED I found a small strip of 3 LEDs about 4 inches long but since I only needed one (the center) I used some hit glue to fix it to the back. Tucked the extra wires back (just in case I wanted to extend from it later) and plugged it into the top LED header. Works perfectly!

I shot you a pm also but where on earth did you find a short rgb strip like that? I've been looking everywhere and I'm coming up empty. I want to take the I/O cover from a Z270E, Z270F, X370F and use it on my Z270G. Problem is Asus has a circuit board with a mass of wires connecting to the board for that rgb light in the cover. So it's not a standard 5050 rgb header. So I want to remove the circuit board and install a short strip like you have then connect it to a 5050 header on my Z270G for Aura to control it when they get a working version again for the newest Win 10 update.
